Одна из немногих в heavy пластинок, имхо, которая не вызывает раздражения пластмассовым звуком гитар и слащавостью вокала. Тут всё в порядке - ибо действительно классика жанра! Переслушивал недавно на виниле

ITOG:8.77/10

мне тяжело сказать,если этот диск лучше ,чем предыдущий,но несколько важных изменений для себя нашёл:
1 - улучшенный звук - более качественный.
2 - драммер Никко МакБрайн (тут его дебют) играет в другой манере,чем Клифф Барр. кстати показалось даже, что Мак Брайн некоторые моменты заметно упрощает (чего скорее всего не стал бы делать покойный Барр).
3 - на архивах , например в отличии от меня диски 1982 и 1983 года оценили по другому: за 1982 год (23 рецензии) диск получил 83%,а за 1983 год (15 соотв.) - 87%. не исключено ,что именно так оно и должно быть,но мне лично на диске 1982 года очень понравилась обложка,за что и поднял им планку чуть.
4 - как мне показалась,на этом диске темы немного менее известны широкому кругу слушателей.

ПС: отличный альбом для прослушивания,кайфования по 80-м и просто ностальгирования!
сам слушал - и Вам желаю!!

Пойду в разрез, но мне СОВЕРШЕННО не понравилось. Нет чего то, трогающего душу. Понимаю, что классика блаблабла, но кроме Trooper не выделил для себя ровным счётом ничего.

Снова, убеждаюсь в том, что ранние и классические альбомы у IM гораздо лучше тех, что пошли после 2000-ого года. ИМХО.

Ну просто лично для меня тот же 2003й стоит на одном уровне с 86-м и 88-м и выше 83-го и 84-го. А, например, 2000й и 2006й - ниже 86/88, но на уровне 83/84.

Тут можно долго и попунктно спорить, я просто хотел намекнуть, что мнение, что поздние альбомы хуже ранних разделяется не всеми.

Скорее всего - да. Нельзя проводить разделение чисто по времени выхода, тут скорее дело в стилистике, которая у позднего Мйэдена отличается от раннего. Поэтому рамки классического/неклассического можно поделить как 1980-1992 / 1995 - 2015.

P.S. Только тут есть каверзный момент в виде первых двух альбомов, которые тоже как бы классические, но которые отличаются по стилю от последующих "классических" гораздо больше, чем те, в свою очередь, отличаются от поздних.

Альбом шикарен, не понимаю сомнений слушателей. Эта пластинка стала историей еще до того, как половина местных комментаторов появилась на свет.

Безусловно, я против того, чтобы идеализировать.

Но я полагаю правильным будет понимать, что для 83 года - это высочайший уровень. Это мы сейчас развращены всякими post-proto-modern хреновинами. Вот Мейдены для своего времени вполне себе рубили модерн того времени и были в авангарде.

Какой вброс? Дебютник и второй альбом классный фьюжн британского панка и хард рока с отличным вокалом. А потом пришёл дик брюсинсон и начались эти солячки, фальцет, тексты про труперов и самолёты. Зашквар короче пошёл.

Странно , я читал , что музыканты на дух не переносили не панк ни тех кто его играл.Да и с приходом Сирены начался самый жир.При всем уважении к Диано но он и рядом не стоял...

Не, тут Адептус прав, песня панкушный рокешник. Вообще, ранний Мейден очень панк-роковый был, с очень клёвой грувовой ритм-секцией. Без Бёрра стало уже не так вкусно к сожалению.

Подразумевается что музыка которую подписывают этой неуклюжей и смешной аббревиатурой не под влиянием и инфлюенсом панка родилась. Вся ритм секция первых двух альбомов айран майдана абсолютно панковская. Убери оттуда мелодичные кусочки и медлячки получишь обычный панк рок британский. И да, я надеюсь читать умеют все, даже любители мдма и павера (в последних правда сомневаюсь). Я не говорил что айран майдан играли панк рок на первых двух альбомах, я писал о фьюжене хард рока и панка (это для тех кто пытается в лоб сравнивать майдан и каких-нибудь дэмнед или буззкокс)

Да, ты именно это и говорил. И по поводу ритм секции панковской я не согласен.

Мне тут в одной из групп на ОК как-то попалась рецензия на Piece Of Mind, ну и сводилась она к тому, что альбом - ни о чем, хитов нет, мелодии так себе, обложка дрянь, звук отстой. Опешил, удивился (а я точно про тот альбом читаю?), решил вот переслушать. Вот категорически не согласен с этой чернухой. С обложкой все и так ясно: рисовалась почти так же часто, как и Killers, плюсом к ней обложка сингла для The Trooper (вообще чума, кстати). Про хиты тоже сложно согласиться: при общем высоком музыкальном уровне альбома тройка хитов Flight Of Icarus/Die With Your Boots On/The Trooper звучит просто безупречно, если мы говорим про хуковость. Плюсом к ним навороченная, продолжительная, но очень интересная To Tame A Land. Кстати, нельзя не упомянуть еще и Quest For Fire и Sun And Steel, в них достаточно четко можно расслушать, насколько хорош на должности певца Брюс наш, понимаете ли, Диккинсон. Ну, и про звук альбома и раньше в этой теме было уже сказано, чего зря повторяться. Очень годный альбом.

Кайфанул с видоса Revelations 2019 года. Всегда очень нравилась песня, и сто лет её не включал, и как-то год назад вернулся к ней и к альбому, и поехало))
Вообще альбом у меня никогда в фаворитах не ходил, но вот как вернулся к нему — наверное даже чуть потеплел к нему.
