Помним-помним - отличный альбом, очень необычный саунд. Настоящая находка, крайне не рекомендуется пропускать поклонникам старого трэшака.

What a nice reminder of the good old German speed metal! Fans of early Helloween, Scanner, Warrant and Not Fragile will rejoice.

Прекрасный альбом, подтверждаю

Not exactly. Here is much less straight-forward music. Personally for me it's remind Norway band Witchhammer or Helstar '89.

...and also some forgotten heroes from the US underground like Arcane, Liege Lord and Deadly Blessing.

I can't agree, these bands didn't play speed metal.

Actually, they did; with a shade of progressive power/thrash as well.

Debut era Mephisto is basically a much rawer, earlier version of German power/speed metal. Remember, US power/speed metal bands were somewhat influential back then so it's not that unusual that band like Mephisto would be kind of reminiscent of Helstar and Liege Lord back then. They are more melodic however with a bigger emphasis on catchy vocal melodies and streamlined riffing however.

Interesting, have no memories of the band's second effort, "In Search of Lost Refuge" (1991)... What was it like?

С таким "качеством" этой раздаче даже в лоу не место.Фон, треск, качество никакое.За такие "оцифровки" нужно руки по самую голову отсекать.

Couldn't remember well Arcane and Deadly Blessing, but as for Liege Lord - in my humble opition it's the typical example of such strange kind of US heavy metal, that is called "United States Power Metal" (despite it has no attention to power metal crazy.gif ). With touch of thrash on last album.

Чудесного качества оцифровка. Уши завяли сразу.

Does anyone have the "Karthago Records" CD rip released last year?
