Can anyone recommend bands playing black and folk metal? Something similar to Satyricon on Dark Medieval Times, or Nokturnal Mortum on Lunar Poetry

Probably not exactly what you were looking for, but what do I know about good music?

I think the music styles of these two bands meet your requirements. The first one is Black Metal, a legendary Norwegian black metal band, and they are one of the founders of black metal music.
