не очень люблю я все эти мелодик блэки, хотя иногда они и могут занять уши на недельку-другую.
VIII the time unchained, в принципе, порадовал меня.
теперь можно оценить катамению и в ретроспективе.

Имхо - если положительно относиться ко всей Катамении, то слушается вполне себе приятно. Нет ощущения компиляции, как полноценный альбом идет. А вот ценителям раннего материала - можно и пропустить.

Запись какая то пластмассовая, а треклист подобран на ура. Вокалист урчит внятно и самодовольно. Правда, некоторые композиции все-же звучат лучше на полноформатниках, хотя может быть, что уши отойти от старого звучания все никак не могут. Благодарствую, перед сном то что доктор прописал.

Звук не понравился, какой-то замыленый что-ли, на номерных альбомах звук был ярче и выразительнее.
Компиляция - компромисс, старые вещи здесь звучат хуже, новые лучше. Да простят меня фанаты, чистый на альбомах 2008-10 был совершенно неуместен и я счастлив что его не стало).
В целом, просматривается надежда на возрождение, пока слабая, но тем не менее.

Что бы тут ни говорили, но лично я переслушиваю альбомы, начиная только с Location Cold. Именно последние альбомы вставляют. Иногда кажется, что так могла бы звучать Metallica, не опустись они в коммерцию... Есть много разных групп, которые я слушаю, но только Catamenia я прощаю многие ляпы - как по качеству записи, так и по исполнению - идеи перевешивают все недостатки.
Хотя я и фанат "поздней" Catamenia" с чистым вокалом, но и эти переделки старых песен мне нравятся.
