Знакомство с ранним творчеством Sieges Even я решил начал с их дебютного альбома..
..и сразу услышал удивительно прогрессивную (для того времени) и техничную музыку, описывать которую словами особого смысла по большему счету нет. Это уже до меня сделали много раз другие люди.
Отмечу лишь, что своеобразный вокал и манера пения Franz Herde поначалу немного насторожили и даже напрягли. Но спустя несколько минут этот голос удивительным образом стал "смазывать" музыкальное кушание, помогая его мягкому усвоению в моем сознании, взбудораженном бешеным ритмом столичной жизни...
И еще мне очень понравилась бас-гитара и трэшевые риффы.
Вот такое удачное знакомство с легендарными немцами 20 лет спустя.

Наконец-то собрал полную дискографию SE (IMG:style_emoticons/default/5.gif) ... до этого Life Cycle был только на кассете лет году этак в 1994)))
теперь есть хоть бы в приличных рипах,хотя конечно такую классику следует иметь на СD...

Вообще,первые три альбома -"Life Cycle"(1988) "Steps"(1990) и "A Sense of Change" (1991)надо слушать в обязательном порядке каждому любителю progressive ,хотя бы чтобы оценить какой путь проделала группа всего за 3 (!) года ,как изменялась и прогрессировала в прямом смыле этого слова )
Такая группа как SE стоит сотни теперешних псевдопрогессивпавер кAллективов IMHO...

На этой работе слишком сильно влияние земляков из Mekong Delta. Следующий альбом - уже вполне самостоятельная работа. Ну а дальше вообще пошло-поехало. Но у меня любимый период - 00-е годы.

По сути именно этот альбом, как правильно подметил Ярри, по стилистике и своей сути гораздо ближе к технотрешу - жанру крайне неизящному, враждебному к своим слушателям и вообще являющемуся пограничным. Я для себя удобоваримых гармоний в этом релизе не могу найти никаких, одно лишь мастерство владения инструментами тут бесспорно.
