Не знаю, никогда особенно не любил этот альбом. Уж очень он странный какой то. Откровенных хитяр нет, но есть отличные соляки. Как по мне, так всё, что было до, так и то, что было после несоизмеримо круче сабжа.

Давайте пойдем дальше. Мэйхем и Бурзум ниочемные вжжж-вжжж. А Мардук показали, что за всем этим может стоять мощь и напор.
Дальше у них конечно лучше было, но начинание хорошее. Сейчас может быть восторгов и не вызывает, но на момент выхода действительно был сильным альбомом.

"Darkness It Shall Be" - классика на все времена. Лирика It`a на ней шедевральна. Ну и сам голос Легиона, одно из немногих исключений, когда новый вокалист сильнее, чем предыдущий

Да ладно, на самом деле группа хотела сделать эпик, но в некоторых моментах скатилась в откровенный нудеж, ибо первый блин, как говорится, такой первый. На следующей все пойдет гораздо живее, хоть и в намеченном ключе. Плюс у альбома самая дурная обложка из всех выпущенных. Но на самом деле пластинка под настроение заходит очень неплохо, я думаю, что epic black metal в некотором роде берет свое происхождение где-то здесь, именно попытки в течение всех 5-6 минут рассказывать конкретную историю.

A Heaven Shall Burn... (Я сейчас не про группу) мне понравился всё равно. По крайней мере пара-тройка песен мне запомнились и понравились.

Да, обложка несколько забавная. Такое ощущение, будто Marduk переиграли в D&D, Warhammer или Warcraft аки Moonblood в HoMM3 во второй половине 1990-х.
