Moon In The Scorpio, хоть и является дебютом, но не является первой записью норвежского дуэта: в 1995-1996 гг. Limbonic Art записали целых три демо, и только часть материала с них впоследствии было переработана для полноформатного первенца. Демо эти (по мнению самих музыкантов) получились ужасного качества, посему композиции решено было перезаписать. "We know that it is a fucking cliche when a band, after releasing a couple of albums, they release their demos. We still did in the interest to show our audience, what has contributed to our destiny with nocturnal art, and maybe the point we are standing today" - комментируют Daemon и Morfeus данный релиз.

Ознакомление с работой (даже без предварительного прослушивания демок, лучше избавить себя от подобных пыток (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) ) сразу же даёт понять, что перед нами действительно ранний материал. Это легко определяется по тому, что музыка здесь явно проще, чем была на In Abhorrence Dementia, и намного ближе по стилистике и подаче к Moon in the Scorpio. С поправкой на то, что если атмосфера Луны в Скорпионе являла собой различные мистические мракобесия, то Воплощение Иллюзий несёт отрешённое спокойствие и космический холод. Вот примерно под стать обложке альбома. Прекрасных дам в этот раз решили не приглашать и все вокальные партии расписали на двоих (с приоритетом вокала Daemon, разумеется). Думаю, это было сделано преднамеренно, дабы сохранить аутеничный дух раннего творчества. Дух тех времён, когда LA были дуэтом и только.

И снова мы слышим неумолкающие клавишные (на этот раз преобладают космические темы, а в Path of Ice можно обнаружить пассаж из знаменитой Песни Сольвейг), а гитары размыты, но читаемы. Daemon поубавил ярости в своём скриме (по сравнению с работой 1997 года), дабы не выбиваться из остранённой атмосферы музыки. Некоторое количество шизофренических воплей, впрочем, завезли и сюда (концовка Solace of the Shadows, как пример), но доминирует ровный и спокойный скриминг. Чистых голосов явно меньше, чем на Moon in the Scorpio и особенно In Abhorrence Dementia, но в той же Phantasmagorial Dreams можно услышать фирменные мерные хоры. Кстати, эта композиция по устоявшейся уже традиции отсутствовала на первом издании на CD (попала только на винил), попав только на переиздания.

Думаю, ребята были вполне честны перед собой, решив перезаписать и издать эти архивные наработки. Материал действительно представляет определённый интерес, а для поклонников коллектива - и вовсе обязателен.
