Альбом - шедеврище. Первый альбом в данном подстиле. Что бы там ни говорили, но первый альбом - вечнозелёная классика. Мягкий звук, но какое наполнение (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) С самой первой песни бросает в дрожь - ни одной лишней секундо-ноты. При этом это не скучная выверенность, а талант, пробившийся сгустком оголтелого и злобствующего олдскульного мракобесия. Многие альбомы стиля всё же чуть утомляют на разных отрезках дистанции. Здесь такого нет. Альбом берёт за горло иссушённой рукой, как у скелета на обложке и сжимает, так что Blood исступлённо Screamит. Гениально. Я прослушал достаточно олдсккульного дэта, но этот альбом - это что-то с чем то!

В теме про лучшие альбомы Death я уже отписался, что Scream Bloody Gore - для меня лучший, потому как первый услышанный, т.е. по сути - как первая любовь. И довольно несложно объяснить, почему.
Во-первых - это (для меня лично) первый из альбомов, который сыгран в death metal. Далее - никаких прото-, никаких death-thrash, как написал Emm Human. Scream Bloody Gore - это отправная точка, та самая Land Of No Return, с которой и пошел реальный отсчет (еще раз повторюсь: это мое собственное мнение). Ведь по большому счету именно здесь я и слышу тот кондовый death metal, который усовершенствовался, шлифовался, к которому далее приделывались красивости, сложности. Здесь есть переход от медленных фрагментов к быстрым (Land Of No Return), характерный гитарный строй, гроулинг (Denial of Life), скорость, бешенство ритма (Zombie Ritual), распиливающие мозг напополам гитарные соло (Mutilation). Есть реальный эффект "свалить с ног с первого удара" (Infernal Death), красивая обложка с мертвяками и тексты некрофилософского содержания (та же Infernal Death - первый приходящий на ум пример). В третьих - законченный оформленный продукт, в дальнейшем поставленный на поток, скопированный, переделанный, пере... Несомненно, есть у Death и более отшлифованные работы, и более навороченные, и с великолепными текстами, но Scream Bloody Gore так и останется первой. Навсегда. |

Хрестоматийный Death Metal, скрасивший субботний вечер.
Отличная музыка с присущей времени энергетикой и соответствующей эстетикой. Не смотря на то, что мне в данный момент времени ближе позднее творчество Чака, старый добрый дебютник достоин, чтобы с него периодически стряхивать пыль. Пластинка растаскана на цитаты и кавера, если так прикинуть - больше всего каверов, вышедших на Death, будут именно отсюда. |

Как бы не умничали некоторые, глядя на этот альбом с высоты 21 века, но в 80-х - это была просто бомба, особенно для тех, кто в то время хотел еще жестче, мощнее, чем Possessed, Kreator, Messiah, Sodom, Bathory и т.д. Дикий, варварский, брутальный (для того времени естественно) альбомище. В моей табели о рангах стоит на втором месте после Spiritual Healing (1990).

Услышал Death в 2006г, и это было самым тяжелым из того что я слышал. Позже услышал много других коллективов и интерес к сабжу упал, сейчас не цепляет практически, осталось только уважение к данному коллективу.
