Альбом неплох, мелодизм уместен и есть душевные солячки. Вообще, в нулевых шведский death metal переживал кризис, какого нет, например, в десятых, а добивали его всё те же самые классики типа Дисмембера, Анлишда и Грейва. Они достигли некоторого совершенства и, не смотря на выверенные музыкальные формулы, сгнили до тех форм, о которых и сочиняли свои треки. Благо, людям хватило ума закрыть лавочку Dismember когда ещё хоть что-то хорошее от этого имени осталось.

В целом, соглашусь, с мнением FullofHate, что 'Where Ironcrosses Grow' — кризисный эконом-вариант шведодэта. Однако, по прошествии многих лет и альбомов продолжаю неизменно котировать данный альбом. Впрочем, как и всё творчество Dismember. Хотя бы за то, что всегда рубили быстро и напористо, без соплежуйства. Разве что на 'Massive Killing Capacity' помяли яйца, но быстро одумались.
Фирменный почерк отцы здесь сохранили, хотя получилось не так сочно, как на первых двух. Даже длительность треков выдержана по классике: пара телег на ±5 минут, остальное ~3. Мало замедлений, много разудалого галопа (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headcrab.png)
Кто-то ругает поздние альбомы Dismember за мелодичность, а я думаю, что это-то и спасает их. Убери отсель хэвишные соло, и останется всего ничего.

Они и на альбоме 2008 года были хороши, так что могли бы подержать лавочку открытой. Я вот жалею, что не повидал их живьём.

Из альбомов пост-капаситиевской эры наиболее сильный в плане целостности для меня одноимённый, но Death Metal силён парой номеров, ровни которым в 2008-м не было. 2000-й и 2006-й слабые, а вот сабж не помню.
