Не успел появиться на свет трэш метал, еще не вышел классический "Master Of Puppets", как тут же в Америке появились Одержимые, которые заиграли его экстремальную разновидность. Да еще и в микрофон стали орать совсем по-зверски (по тем временам, конечно).. В последствии такую ацкую музыку назвали Death metal, развили и усугубили.
Но первый дэтовый релиз, по-моему, хотя бы разок должен послушать каждый уважающий себя дэтстер. Чтобы знать откуда ноги растут. Кстати, последняя десятая песня "Семи Церквей" так и называется Death metal.

я имел ввиду, что не успел трэш расцвести всеми красками и оформиться как экстремальный жанр металла, как тут же (через каких-то пару лет) появилась еще более брутальная его разновидность...

- если судить по демкам / ранним проектам Чака, Азатота, то имеем:
зарождение трэша - начало 80-х (1981-82)
зарождение дэта - 1984 г.

- если судить по первым релизам:
трэш - 1983 г. (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax)
дэт - 1985 г. (Possessed - Seven Churches)

Удовлетворил? Или опять что-то не так?

В общем-то не хило для начала. У парней похоже было соревнование с канадцами SLAUGHTER, которые тогда уже были стопудовыми конкурентами и спустя год они обнародовали свой "Strappado". Но, далее POSSESSED пошел по стезе трэша, а канадцы наоборот утяжелялись...
