Музыканты французской прогрессив-техно-дэтовой группы Symbyosis выдали небывалый по размеру, масштабу и содержанию двойной альбом. Я же, в отличии от них, если надо, могу ограничиться всего лишь одним-единственным словом - это слово будет "ШЕДЕВР"! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Альбому уже 5 лет отроду, и мне крайне стыдно (о горе моим сединам!), что я его до сих пор не слышал. И даже само имя группы Symbyosis почему-то всплывало на горизонте моего внимания считанное количество раз. А ведь по факту, объективно (помимо моих восторгов) эти французы заслуживают славы в ничуть не меньшей степени, чем, например, их соотечественники Carcariass (хотя играют в несколько иной плоскости), или же канадцы Augury, и даже итальянцы Illogicist. Изумление вызывает не только качество материала, но и количество его - это ж надо додуматься, сделать из ТАКОЙ музыки двойной альбом! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Охренеть, как монументально! (На ум приходят разве что Dream Theater с их релизами-мастодонтами.) Возникают даже некоторые "проблемы" с прослушиванием такого мега-альбома - уже неделю кручу, отложив всю остальную музыку в сторону. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Да и как, чёрт возьми, можно сделать 24 композиции без единой сколько-нибудь слабой, либо как-то выпадающей из общего ряда - для меня это тоже большая загадка! А ещё говорят, что шедевры табунами не ходят - оказывается, бывают и исключения из правил, французы это убедительно доказали... Сочный и мелодичный прого-дэт с шикарным звуком, музыканты всячески избегают избитых форм и квадратов, красивые плавные завершения всех композиций. Множество умопомрачительных гитарных соло - они повсюду, но в War Phenomenon, Disease и Dreamchild это натурально вынос мозга из черепной коробки! Из просто хорошей вещи Iron Maiden 'The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner' французские ребята умудрились соорудить шедевр. Самая жёсткая дэзовая вещь - When Napalm Fits To Skin. Масса эффектнейших творений - таких, как Life. Самая позитивная - Crusades Part VI. Относительно вокала - 95% его здесь приходится на роскошный гроулинг Боба, но в двух композициях (Peace и Dreamchild) поёт девушка Норик, тоже весьма стильно. Заканчиваю описывать свои восторженно-сумбурные впечатления такими эпитетами: On The Wings Of Phoenix - это эстетическое пиршество для гурманов, альбом-амброзия! Очевидно, Symbyosis - сильнейший на данный момент коллектив в прого-дэте, рядом могу поставить только Illogicist. И конечно, не может быть иной оценки, кроме как 10/10.

P.S. Вот список 6-ти самых слушабельных (соответственно, самых сильных) композиций, не вылезающих у меня из плей-листа: War Phenomenon, Disease, Peace (все три - с первого диска), Crusades Part VI, Life, Dreamchild (все три - со второго диска).
