В очередной раз переслушал этот альбом и созрел для двуязычного ревью.
Честно говоря - Persuader для меня явление исключительное. Всякие поползновения на сходство с Blind Guardian я неистово отметаю! Persuader и Blind Guardian почти ничего общего, кроме тона и манеры пения двух выдающихся вокалистов, не имеют. Центром всего великолепия данного коллевктива я считаю вокал - именно вокалист придаёт музыке группы индивидуальность и шарм, заряжает её бешеной энергией, о которой прочим паверным коллективам остаётся только мечтать! Если в Savage Circus Йенс бесстыдно пародировал Ханси, но на When Eden Burns его голос обретает дополнительные интонации и драматизм - каждая выпышка энергии, каждый пик в любой композиции (ну, кроме инструментала, конечно) связаны тем или иным образом с эмоциональным вокалом Карллсона, который не живёт на крыше.
С музыклаьной точки зрения When Eden Burns (если его рассматривать, как представителя сцены power metal - против чего я так же неистово выступаю) удивительно разнообразен и интересен. Оставаясь непрогрессивной группой, Persuader умудряются раскрасить и диверсифицировать свои композиции с максимальной изобретательностью. Честно говоря, Persuader на этом альбоме просто интересно слушать - смены темпа, ловкие риффы и великолепные гитарные мелодии, которые надолго застревают в голове + неистовый вокальный мелодизм дают в результате удивительно изобразительный и тонкий результат. Чтобы окончательно разобраться в этой пластинке, мне пришлось потратить немало времени и электроэнергии на прослушивание. Теперь, через пару лет после того, как я, к своему счастью приобрёл сий замечательный диск, я могу сказать, что это практически лучшее, что происходило на околопаверной сцене обоих ведущих континентов. Persuader - это настоящее событие
Для наших заморских коллег - интерпретация на всех языках мира (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) :

Some people erroneously claim that Persuader are a Blind Guardian rip-off. Let's not be as shallow: Persuader have got nothing to do with Blind Guardian. The only thing, which may vaguely resemble BG is Jens' voice - he's got the same tone and vocal technique as those of almighty Hansi the Bard. But after a couple of listens it becomes evident, that Jens is much more an individuality than a copycat (though in Savage Circus he managed to mimic Herr Kursch precisely). Actually, the voice of the Swede is a powerful assault unit in Persuader's music. Each climax in each song is strongly related to vocal performance of Mr. Carlsson.
The musicianship is not less than stellar. The guitar duo totally destroys your speakers with gung-ho power metal riffs, leads and melodies. The drumming is as varied as the composition structures are. In fact, Persuader are power metal, which is always interesting to listen to. In comparison to their previous effort, When Eden Burns is a bit more intricate and sophisticated. A medley of tempos, patterns and rhythms delivered with passion and inspiration - Persuader sound very natural and are never strained.
All songs on this album are totally brilliant, but I would pick Judas Immortal as an absolute height of When Eden Burns. This song is Persuader at their best - varied, vehement, full of passionate vocal melodies (which vary from sadness to anger). The last 30 seconds of the song, and namely the "Lost child, your dreams of wonders..."-part are the best power metal song ending I've ever heard or will hear. When Jens bursts out his trademark "You're growing as I am falling in despair" I nearly feel tears in my eyes each time!

Отличная группа, понравились все альбомы: первый - самый мелодичный, но немного наивный, второй - мой любимчик (крепок по всем параметрам, сочетание мелодизма, классных риффов и интересных тем), третий - наиболее напористый, более агрессивный, но всё так же добротный павер не без изюминки! Зачотный коллектив, категория B (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)

А по моему "большим увесистым пистолетом" заклинать ой как удобно. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) Как говорил Капоне- Вежливость и оружие гораздо лучше чем просто вежливость.
