That was the first time I ever seen that shit, after going to local hardcore punk and crossover/thrash metal shows for years.

I don't even remember Mortal Annoyance opening, but they are on the flyer.
Maybe I was being a mooch again and outside sharing a joint with John Sagias and talking with Devastation?

Overthrow did their typically good, heavy, speed/thrash set.

Devastation - the first time I heard this Texas band maybe was this night.
Very cool guys. Decent speed metal/thrash, but it felt like I already heard it a million times before by other bands.

Death had problems with stage divers, knocking the mike over, and Chuck's guitar going out of tune.
Chuck had one of those fancy setup's, supposedly if one string went out of tune, then all the strings did.

After the show, Chuck did an interview by Rob Wright (pre-Malhavoc) that I doubt was ever printed.

I was at the Massacre / Grave / Infernal Majesty / Soulstorm show - March 1992 @ Lee's Palace, Toronto.

Soulstorm (with Nick, ex-Overthrow, ex-Pestilence) was pretty new, they only had a demo and one album out, but had a small loud crowd in the pit headbanging and singing along to their songs, like "Endless Human Failure".

Infernal Majesty, in my opinion, stopped being looked as a joke and posers with their 1991 Creation of Chaos Demo, and this show helped cement that, except they had a thin sound from the PA.

Grave was the "hot band" at the time, and were brutally heavy. Nothing more to say on that.

When Massacre hit the stage, it seemed like half the crowd, mainly teenagers had left.
I overheard and was told by some that Massacre was old and wimpy metal, they were shit, etc etc.
They missed a great set. It sounded perfect to me. I think they even did Venom's "Warhead" that night.
Kam Lee, Rick Rozz, Terry Butler, Bill Andrews did as great or better than when I seen Death in March 1990.

One of my most favorite heavy metal albums of all time.
Perfect.
You can't be into Iron Maiden (early Bruce era), Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate, etc and not like this one.
