Есть общий запрос среди публики на музыку с одной стороны полностью в канве современной массовой культурки, а с другой стороны с небольшим, но отчётливым национальным колоритом и ещё, конечно, должна быть некая претензия на элитарность.

Чтобы его удовлетворить делаются несколько возмездно-восторженных публикаций о группе в модных и популярных СМИ, качественное графическое оформление, сделанное раскрученным автором на пике оного автора популярности.
И вот уже сойбои выстраиваются в очередь, чтобы послушать костноязычные стишата, картавое визжание и пережеванную ещё 40 лет назад музыкальную жвачку.

Не понимаю столь сильного возмущения тутошней публики от этого альбома. Почему Darkthrone и Burzum, Ulver и Beherit, Blood Incatation и Neurosis, etc etc etc можно, а Satyricon вдруг нельзя, выпустить альбом-другой, не в своей обычной стилистике, а в любой иной, какой захочется.
Какая тут может быть, в наше время коммерция. Музыка доступна на стриминге, а значит любой человек с подпиской уже её может послушать, не довнося ещё одну горстку шекелей на счет. Что же до винила/дисков, так их ещё нет, а когда будут их купит — кому надо, кому надо — не купит. Коммерция — это трусишки с логотипом спереди и дыркой сзади, как продает один известный польский деятель. Вот там настоящая, дьявольская, коммерция.
И, да, даже если это чистая коммерция, то что тут плохого? Бескорыстие, нестяжание и бессеребреничество — это из другой проповеди.

Альбом же, вполне хорош, и вполне в духе Satyricon. Это не пресное и безликое гудение, наоборот, в нём слышатся те же источники, откуда они вдохновляются записывая остальные свои альбомы. Тут местами чуть ли не Григ наигран, пусть и в максимально минималистичной манере.
