We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest EP "Sontzekres" - a haunting and atmospheric journey through the depths of Carpathian forests during the Kupala night.
Kadub Kult is a relatively young project. But from the beginning, we had one purpose: spread Ukrainian culture and folklore through the atmosphere of our songs.
With Sontzekres (another name for Kupala night) the Kult decided to move to a different approach to forge the songs. You will definitely hear more atmospheric and folk parts. This EP is a new milestone in Kult's development.
According to the old Slavic belief, all evil spirits come to life on the Kupala night, and it is necessary to beware of them and respect them. With lyrics inspired by ancient folklore and pagan rituals, "Sontzekres" is a deep exploration of the forces of nature and the spiritual realm. Tremendous thanks to Yaroslav Dzisiak for the "Punishment of the Ancient Gods" lyrics.

We Are Already Living In The End Of Times witnesses the apocalypse as it manifests, and explores the thoughts and feelings that emerge in the face of the Doom. Why did this happen? What can we do about it? How should we feel about it? Should we care? Does it even matter? The album takes it path through powerful scenes of destruction, loss, and despair, but also of deliverance, self-realization, and existential enlightenment.

With the previous album Astral Doom Musick (Saarni Records 2020), Astral Sleep established their accurate genre definition as the namesake of the said album. With the new, 4th full-length, the band continues to evolve within these musical terms, but this time with a direction towards more Doom and Gloom, less Astral and Magical. The new album’s gargantuan soundscape resonates the immensity of the apocalypse portrayed.
