Introducing the release is "Sovereign Throne", a groove rhythm powered track with a bluesy side. Lead guitars emerge out of the shadows with bright intricate solos that interweave. If you remember our demo ep (released 2019), you’ll notice that our debut album now features vocals. That’s because another band member joined our crew.
Sebastian and the rest of the band used the Covid-break to revise existing songs as well as work on new ones, before considering recording an album. We took adequate time for this, sometimes re-structuring or even dismissing existing songs. Sebastian shares our love for science fiction, old movies and all kinds of nerdy topics, which becomes obvious to anyone paying attention to the lyrics. For example ‘Dare Mighty Things’ is the slogan of NASA’s Perserverance Mars mission. Just like our demo, our album features a short interlude as a sort of audible breather. On the demo, the interlude was named “Phobos”, now it’s named “Deimos”. If you know your astronomy, you might be able to spot a pattern here.
While we did everything ourself back when we recorded our demo, this time we sent our recorded tracks to
Magnetic Audio for mixing and to Die Tonmeisterei for Mastering. Cover and booklet artwork were designed by Miasma.[/more]

A Vienna-based hardcore death crust band that dedicated their first album to honoring, and expanding the voice of the Mexican feminist movement and their fierce activist work for women's rights.

Notes on the artwork:

"The artwork is based on a picture from an unknown Mexican feminist protester on the 8th of March 2022. The picture shows the door of the Palacio de Gobierno de Monterrey, Nuevo León, México in flames. On a sign it can be read: “Que el privilegio no te nuble..” - “May the privilege not cloud you..”.

México is one of the places where femininicides and kidnapping of girls strike on a harrowing regular basis with total impunity, and where the feminist resistance is neededly and beautifully fierce. Their resistance has been an inspiration of courage, and of the possibility that another world is possible, even though we will need to fight as hard as the Mexican feminists.

On Antipatriarchal it can also be read “No perdonamos, ni olvidamos” from an iconic painting and motto on the occupied Mexico’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) building in 2020 by the members of the El bloque negro anarcofeminist group. This building was then transformed into a shelter for women. Symbolic and required act upon so much impune violence against women.

With this, we want to honor the Mexican feminist fight and expand their eco and courageous spirit across wherever we reach."[/more]
