если абстрагироваться от того, что они когда играли подобие мдма, да и то только в перовм альбоме, то альбом вполне неплох, качественный альт. не знаю, зачем так усердно засирать. вообще, релиз в неформат надо, тогда может и бурлений не будет)

November 6th, 2009. Rebellion. New voice. But the same pattern. Retention of the previous features.

May 7th, 2010. Revolution, Baby. Totally unexpected. New sound. New music. Like a different band.

August 8th, 2010. My Own Life. The second sway of the pendulum of surprising influences.

August 22nd, 2010. Turn It Up. Thought it’s over now? The devil a bit. The final teaser, revealing even more of the sudden notes.

And now here it is, August 27th, 2010. We Rule The Night. A complete picture.

Preview stages did their fair job and gave a very good insight into what this album really is. Three main influences shown in those pre-album tracks are the blades that split the record into three dominions.

Club and party beats, chart-topping hits, perfect music for a wild ride through the night city — nu metal start comes all of a sudden. Beauty And The Freak kicks in with blowing effects supported by synth drums and steamrolling sound, all retained on its followers, rhythmic Revolution, Baby and Turn It Up, coming with dance pulses and unflagging energy. One hell of an outbreak!

Dark, nightly streets under the moon outstretching its pale beams to the empty rooftops. Peaceful tones of an acoustic guitar and its plunking strings. Alternative metal, which tinges were always present in Sonic Syndicate’s music in one way or other, became the guiding force covering the album with its serenity. Soaring and touching melodic lines with that bittersweet savor, hallmark acoustic passages — all for that ”baby, it will be ok” mood that various musicians of the said genre elaborated over the years. The band has been slipping to this already (middle part of Love And Other Disasters CD — My Escape, Fallout, Contradiction, to name a few) and be sure they have not only the basic experience of composing in this area but their own unique approach either. Songs from My Own Life to Leave Me Alone untreasure some wonderful and heartfelt tunes embodied as in perfect and catchy choruses so in more lyrical overtones.

The record ends with a brief and vivid look back into the band’s past — a modern metal blast, explosive dance of bombastic, spiking electro keys, slicing, brisk shrapnel riffs and razor-edgy, nailing drums sweeping in on the wings of two final events named Break Of Day and We Rule The Night respectively. This is what Sonic Syndicate are famed for, this is the essence of all their previous works. Insane mutual vocal overlaying, bursting in dual harsh/clean singing, ultra emotional and vigorous mood — turn up the gain and sink into the sonic madness.

As one could spot already, musical alterations are quite significant here in whole. But the first change took place when Roland Johansson decided to quit the band and was replaced with British singer Nathan James Biggs. Despite Nathan can perform in both clean and harsh styles with a notable finesse and also much similar to Roland’s style (he proves that in Rebellion In Nightmareland, a song on a par with such Only Inhuman lacerating monsters as My Soul In #000000 or Double Agent 616), still the band decided to try something new and enclose various influences of a present-day alternative music in distinctive amounts separately instead of creating a mix of those layered over the modern melodic death metal basis as they did it before. The shift from perfect star-crossed love subject recitals towards more optimistic/social direction in the lyrics sphere, started on Love And Other Disasters album, is almost complete here and according to the music demands this record manifests a much more positive and life-asserting approach. All these matters both dragged the band away from their own unique style and created them a new one, which can propose something different but still valuable.

This album doesn’t offer a complex idea or detailed concept, also neither death metal sound nor low-end growls or any other kind of extreme scene music elements can be observed here. But if you want to get a charge of driving, fresh sound mixed with upbeat and cheerful atmosphere, full of energy and dash, just go and pick it.

Как уже отписывал мне очень понравился альбом, отличные модерновые мелодии, классный вокал (он как раз тут рулит). танцы вобщем, с удовольствием потусил бы под такой музон на концерте (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif) закидываю на плеер, буду долго слушать (IMG:style_emoticons/default/20.gif)

Хотел понять что такое "Modern Metal" и сделал роковую ошибку нажав на МойСпейс. Посмотрев на фотку этих "крутых" пацанов - глазки ослепли. Заиграл песенку - ушки отсохли. Короче сижу пытаюсь вернуть зрение листая промо фотки Immortal с года так 93го, а слух пробиваю Хангером Трансильванским.

Как и ожидалось: новый альбом ещё лучше предыдущего, который был очень классным. Чем больше слушаю, тем больше нравится. С первого прослушивания было ясно, что альбом - супер! Но первые 5 песен особо круты.
