Красиво, мелодично, даже гитарные пассажи местами такие, что аж дух захватывает. Даже прог убрали практически, и фолк оставили только фрагментарно, чистый пауэр практически. Но этот вокал... ох, этот вокал. Не могу его слушать и всё тут.

Кстати инструментальная часть у Salt очень интересная, тут навалом прогрессива и мне точно понадобится много прослушиваний, чтобы все эти структуры в моей голове уложились, но ярких мелодий тоже навалом.
А у Nils Patrik Johansson'а партии даже ярче получились чем на прошлых альбомах WH по первым впечатлениям.

Для меня он один из буквально нескольких чистоголосых вокалистов в музыке, которые нравятся.

Well, so far it sounds much more direct and by far less complex than "The Shadow Cabinet" - the progressive elements are literally dicreased to a freezing point; I loved that special power/prog mix in the predecessor, which was their most technique effort so far for me, since it's my favorite album by them along with the folkish spirit of "The Madding Crowd". While "Salt" sounds more straightforward, it doesn't mean it's a bad album - far from it, the instrumental parts are outstanding with those compositional twists and turns, all the melodic passages are something to praise, not to mention Nils' voice to which I seem to get more and more addicted with every work of his. I'll need more time with it in order to make a parallel with their past albums - not that it's that necessary, since it's yet again a very solid release by WH, to say the least.
