Вполне техничный, скоростной и местами навороченный американский брутал дэт в духе тех же Decrepit Birth-2003 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile3.gif) . Ничем особо не запоминается, но сыграно качественно и с душой.

Наворочено тут много и толково всё, вообщем-то.
Причём очень тяжеловесно.
Но после прослушивания остаётся стойкое впечатление монотонности материала.
Те же DB поярче будут.

По хорошему "взъерошенный" техно брутал, лишенный какого-либо компромисса и лояльности.
Изюминка альбома и записи в целом - в нем нет сглаженных в угоду углов, саунд естественный и живой, грубый, тяжеловесный, материал тестостероновый и размашистый. Музыканты демонстрируют недюжинное умение обращаться с инструментами, периодически доходя до границ физического предела. За 23 минуты успевают выпотрошить и тело, и сознание.

Devouring the Prophecy я услышал в 2006-м году, он поразил своим неистовым зверством. Я сразу проникся этой записью, хотя на носителе до сих пор так и не приобрел (надеюсь, что когда-то это упущение будет исправлено). Через года полтора догнал меня и Cryptic Implosion. Он хоть и возвел Odious Mortem в пантеон техноты, но увел группу от своей первородной жестокой сущности. Вероятно, перед выпуском Cryptic Implosion стоило сменить название, да, он хорош, но демонстрирует другую музыку, другой путь развития.

У альбома Devouring the Prophecy один существенный недостаток - его мало. В остальном "от и до" усматриваю зашкаливающую концентрацию плюсов.
