Один из крутейших дет-альбомов. Просто шедевр. Ознакомился с ним не так давно и просто офигел, насколько тут все круто и немного в вене Morbid Angel, но со своим лицом. Вообще чем-то напоминает Immortal - Battles In The North, безудержным непрекращающимся молотиловом и ревом гитар. Дэтовый бэтлс ин зе нортх.

Взялся переслушивать собрание сочинений Hate Eternal и должен сказать, что группа есть духовное продолжение Morbid Angel, хотя и не без собственных решений.

Во-первых очень плотная ритм секция, объективно, Т.Янг барабанщик очень серьезной подготовки, другой вопрос, что здесь упор сделан не на технику, а именно на количество ударов, редкие сложные рисунки сменяются неистовыми безостановочными бластами. Гитарный рифинг местами очень серьезно отдает морбидовским Domination, к сочинению которого Эрик Рутан в свое время приложил руку. Очень бросаются лично мне во внимание и "уехавшие" гармонии, и рифы сложных размеров, закрученные вдоль по грифу на глубоко пониженном строе. Достаточно живо и четко звучит вокал, такое чувство, что вообще никакой студийной обработки не было, хотя должна бы была быть.

Но я такое прочтение как раз очень люблю, альбом абсолютно кайфовый. Этакий размашистый Death, который в течение получаса просто обрушивается лавиной и не дает продохнуть.

I must also compliment the song writing contributions of Doug Cerrito. Especially on two of the three tracks he wrote. “Nailed to Obscurity” and “Dethroned” are both throwbacks to his Suffocation days. In fact, both of those songs sound like they belong on a Suffocation album. Doug Cerrito was a great addition to Hate Eternal. I only wish he could have stayed, because the following releases of this band completely fail to compare to the greatness of this album.
