'Sempiternal Past' contains all 4 of Darkthrone's cult demo releases recorded in 1988-1989 ('Land of Frost', 'A New Dimension', 'Thulcandra', & 'Cromlech'); now fully restored & remastered from the best tape sources available. Also included on this release are the tracks recorded at Oslo TV in 1989, along with a restored version of the rare song 'God of Disturbance & Friction'.

'Sempiternal Past' is presented on limited double vinyl with gatefold sleeve, with the sleeve including band notes, plus rare photos.

CD available from February 2012.

Эти демо-записи уже издавались множество раз, в том числе и официально. На Preparing For War и на Frostland Tapes уж точно были. Достать их в цифровом виде не составляло особого труда и до этих релизов.

Я скачаю, конечно. Всё-таки материал крутой, лишний раз переслушать будет повод как раз. Но, как показывает практика, в таких случаях под remastered в лучшем случае подразумевается выравнивание по громкости и срез высокочастотных шумов.

Нет. Сведение - это когда есть отдельные дорожки с инструментами. Если пересводят, то в таких случаях пишут "remixed". Restored = восстановленные. А мастеринг - это уже финальная стадия обработки сведённого материала. Как правило, с ней особо не заморачиваются. Впрочем, мне доводилось слышать и "remixed" переиздания, которые по звучанию от обычных практически не отличались. И порой это даже к лучшему (IMG:style_emoticons/default/25.gif)

Да исходники могли тупо не сохраниться. Кто ж в конце 80х знал, что эти демки через 20 лет вдруг станут повсеместно востребованными? Ты знаешь, у меня есть оцифровка оригинальной инструментальной демки альбома Goatlord, так вот, разницы в звучании между ней и альбомом практически нет (только вокал добавили).

Давно уже я смотрел на этот релиз и как-то не горел желанием его качать и слушать. Просто я уже давно от них ничего давно хорошего и интересного не жду, плюс это ещё и сборник.
Ну, всё-таки скачал и начал слушать... Всё как я и думал, скучный и совершенно неинтересный релиз.
