Из всего представленного на альбоме материала Металлику периода Kill 'Em All напоминает лишь трэк Battle Hymn (The Centurian), типичный спидушный трэк, очень похожий на Whiplash. Если говорить про ранние годы пионеров трэша, то мне попадался бутлег, на котором Хан Хубилай играли слэеровскую Black Magic и металликовский Phantom Lord.
Весь прочий материал альбома Annihilation - типичный трэш без особых изысков, так сказать эталон стиля, не архискоростной, но и в задумчивые гитарные пассажи и тех-трэшевые дебри не заваливающийся. Такой железнояйцевый олд-скул. Жаль, что Kublai Khan после демок и дебютного альбома не смогли вырулить на более широкую дорожку. За исключением закрывашки, звучащей несколько патриархально, прочий материал мне нравится полностью, особо надо упомянуть Mongrel Horde и Down to the Inferno.
