Лично я всегда относил Asphyx к направлению death/doom с одной оговоркой - считаю, что по большей части (примерно где-то на 3/4) они играли всё-таки дэт. А думом лишь разбавляли. Заметно невооружённым глазом - талант и тяготение голландцев именно в сторону дэта, он у них явно получается, он у них идёт. Вот и на этом альбоме полным-полно дэта - великолепного, мощного, пусть несколько прямолинейного, но ясного и понятного. И если в первой половине альбома дум и дэт ещё чередуются, то вторая половина альбома почти целиком дэтовая. В этом плане наиболее порадовала вещь Incarcerated Chimaeras - одна из самых лучших на альбоме. А также Back Into Eternity, где чётко слышно линию каждого инструмента, и драйв, ими создаваемый, в целом. Вообще, звук очень хорош для такого рода музыки. Наибольшие ценность и интерес представляют первые 4 вещи - обычно не склонный к чрезмерной фантазии Asphyx проявляет изобретательность и выдаёт интереснейшие вкусные дэт/думовые навороты. Сильный альбом, однозначно сильный! 8.5 минимум.

Мой любимый альбом асфикса)здесь наиболее ярко выраженна присущая асфиксу гротескность,быстрые куски сменяються медленными,атональные гитары дополняються клавишами,есть красивые соло,но основу составляет впивающийся в мозг, злобный олдскульный дезняк,с фирменным грувов)И все приятные дополнение(медленные куски,клавиши,соло) используются строго в меру,чтоб насладиться ими не в ущерб тхрешдетовому забою)

Альбомище действительно зверь! Жернова медленно делают из тебя муку,а гроул свирепым дыханием выдувает уже готовую муку на свет,и так песня за песней. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/metaler.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) Хватают тебя мертвой хваткой и одним толчком впихивают в жернова,и не спастись,утрамбовывают поплотней и колесико закрутилось...............и ты уже не можешь без этих голланцев начинать день,и вечером они в радость,и снимут на время,но все же снимут груз повседневнои не любимой работы!!! Зверюги разуплотнят,перемолят и вернут к жизни!

Третий альбом голландцев , без своего лидера Боба и без Мартина ,но получился просто шикарным.На первых двух -звук-гитарный холокост с безжалостно зарезанными барабанами.Тут же ,гитарки по придержали и звук плотнее стал из за внезапно появившейся "бочки" и альтов.К стати . я начинал свое знакомство тоже с этого альбома и слушал его чаще чем первых два .По этому сейчас включив мелодии гитар и брейки в голове "всплывали"еще до того как звучали на записи.
