Группа как известно является клоном Ватейн, причем довольно качественным. Альбом получился интересным и разноплановым в рамках стиля. Меланхоличные замедления в Opposer of Light, красивые соло в Halo of Lies и концовках Transcendental Death, Throne Ablaze чередуются скоростными заездами и цепкими энергичными кусками в Crowned Serpent, Tombs into Flesh, Paradise Lost . Новые песни обрели лучшую запоминаемость, целостность и мелодичность. В итоге имеем классический компот по рецептам Эрика и Ко.

К технической части вопросов не возникает, но по своей сути альбом пуст, предлагая совокупность умело обыгранных штампов. К тому же, при таком подходе необходима концентрированная атмосфера одержимости, что хорошо прослеживается по классическим образцам W и чего здесь остро не хватает. Конечно не пустышка, но интерес после нескольких прослушиваний пропадает, в то время как крайний Svartidaudi на репите уже несколько дней и совершенно не приедается.

Это не просто клон Watain, а просто откровенные паразиты и самые грязные наглые плагиаторы.

Свое отношение к творчеству шведской Валькирии достаточно подробно изложил в рецензиях к другим альбомам. И не то чтобы я был сознательным хейтером, но меня возмущает эта музыка из релиза в релиз. Я понимаю, если бы это были пионер-бэнд, но это группа с почти пятнадцатилетним стажем следует шаг в шаг. Я не удивлюсь, если они как группиз стерегут группу у номера в отеле и воруют грязные трусы Эрика Дениэльсона как культ для поклонения...

Сабжевый пласт осилил до половины, чего хватило, чтобы в очередной раз убедиться в собственной правоте.

Играют они, а стыдно мне...

Valkyrja claims to play anthemic Swedish Black Metal along with Watain and Dark Funeral (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) First three tracks are quite decent but the rest are very boring, totally spiritless and they make this album lasts too long. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/21.gif)
