But melodies can sound different. Just compare early Mayhem and Burzum with some modern melodic black metal.

а ничего так, кроме злополучных диссонансов с которым у группы тем не менее перегрёба не наблюдается, мы видим прямолинейную мелодику. удачный баланс хаотичного и умеренного и достоин длительного расслушивания.
к завершению альбома разыгрались, йа таки услышал прошлую ипишку, ураура.
вообщем у них получилось то, что не получилось у их земляков S.

Дебютник был диким, масса выразительных моментов, слушался на одном дыхании и многократно переслушивался. Этот прошел фоном. Вроде и серьезная работа а не цепляет. Музыка соответствует обложке, что-то серое и невнятное.

сотрудничество с ван рекордс явно идет на пользу исландцам.
работа хоть и менее выразительная, чем у Svartidauði, но в том же направлении и в тех же областях тьмы.
психоделия с правильными оккультными обертонами, диссонантные тени, дрожащие в призрачном свете холодного мелодизма.

Sinmara is Black Metal in the vein of Mgła/Kriegsmaschine and Deathspell Omega. In fact the whole Icelandic scene is.
