Эти американцы очень похожи на The 3rd&The Mortal,то есть это дум с готикой!Много готики,мало дума(очень мало)!В Aesma Daeva тоже можно услышать прекрасный женский вокал подобный Кари из The 3rd&The Mortal.Музыка у Aesma Daeva (альбом The New Athens Ethos) спокойная и медленная.Но это спокойствие иногда прерывается и вступает в дело тяжелая гитара(правда редко) и ритм становится похож на думовский что ли.Основное время на альбоме все-таки спокойная гитарная муза!И музыка,конечно,достаточно невеселая! В этих спокойных композициях порой наблюдаются элементы какого-то психоделизма,гипнотизма что ли.Впрочем у The 3rd&The Mortal такое тоже можно услышать.Это достигается особым ритмом и звуком гитары,как мне кажется.Музыка у Aesma Daeva какая-то рваная.Рваный ритм гитары меняет часто спокойная музыка.И это чередование спокойствия и жесткости постоянно ощущается в музыке.Такой частой смены ритма нет в The 3rd&The Mortal,но в целом музыка примерно одинакова.Слушать эти группы можно,но под настроение.Что у тех мало хитов ,что у этих.Однако,композиция The Origin of the Muse впечатлила!Неплохое совмещение жесткой гитары и спокойствия плюс мелодия!...
Элементы греческой древней музыки тоже слегка отражены на The New Athens Ethos,чему собственно и посвящен альбом.

Надо же, тут есть еще и дум... Жаль, что тут нет бонусных треков O Death, El Eros de la Belleza Frigida, тогда можно было бы еще упомянуть про элементы итальянской оперы. Последняя вещь вообще шикарна!
