Ощущения после пары беглых прогонов следующие: 1696 и Lilian топ, White Christ при всей любви к Сакису вообще мимо, куски с женским вокалом на Godforsaken заинтересовали. Остальное приятно и атмосфэрно, но слишком растянуто, перегружено по звуку и не особо цепляет - скорее для фона на прогулке; целенаправленно слушать я такое вряд ли буду.

Короче в целом нормально, без восторгов, но как-то мало. Надеюсь на бонусы.

Начал слушать альбом. Открывашка вызывает некоторый интерес, и вроде бы настраивает на добрый лад. Дальше как-то мутно два трека пролетает. Потом начинается бодрая "Lilian", а дальше как-то не интересно становится, и почему-то хочется переслушать их старые, более сильные работы. Пожалуй с альбомом пока паузу возьму.

Докладываю с первого полноценного попыра альбома. Первое впечатление таково: звук норм, неплохой, слушабелен, уместен.
Материал же... Ну, на хорошую, добротную ЕП тут наберётся точно. Ближе к концовке альбома, слушать это становится всё сложнее, всё менее интересно, и всё чаще бередит желание выключить, и переслушать былое, более крутое, качественное и интересное.
Последний трек вообще непонятен. Зачем это рубилово и гонка в конце такого альбома? Невольно последний Swallow The Sun вспомнился, когда под конец альбома внезапно бластбиты воткнули и вообще.
В общем, пока странно всё это, очень странно. И вызывает много вопросов. Благо, хоть песен адекватное количество, и обошлось без хронометража на полтора часа, иначе я бы этого не выдержал наверное... Пока что так.

In the Swedish province of Finland, the Great Famine of 1695–97 was also referred to as "The Years of Many Deaths" by some Finnish historians, because it killed about a third of the Finnish population in only two years, or about 150,000 out of 500,000. People widely relied on eating bark bread. It was Finland's worst demographic catastrophe.

The summer of 1695 was particularly cold, and grains grew abnormally slowly. Rye was reported to grow as late as August 6, and early frost destroyed the little that had grown. January and February 1696 were exceptionally warm, and the harvest was started as early as mid-February, but the frost that came in March destroyed the harvest again. The abundant snow caused massive floods in the Spring, which delayed the harvest again.

People resorted to begging on the streets for food, and even cannibalism was reported at least once

Обычный бодрый Insomnium. Лично я никогда особенным их фанатом не был но кому нравились предыдущие их альбомы понравиться и этот. Кто то ожидал от этой группы другого звучания? Концептуальный альбом по финскому Голодомору мне кажется получился.

Послушал несколько раз (а точнее 2))), ну что сказать, вполне ровный альбом для Инсомнов. Больше ждал именно дуэта с Толиком, Толик хорош и узнаваем, больше ничего особенного и не услышал.
