В отличии от New Hope For The Wretched альбом New Hope For The Wretched выполнен в традициях американского хардкора того времени. При первом же прослушивании в плане звучания в голову пришла аналогия с дебютным альбомом Dead Kennedys. Высокие скорости, ужесточенные рок-н-роллы, грубый голос Уэнди с характерным произношением (как-будто жует табачную жвачку). Все песни, за некоторым исключением, сделаны в одном ключе: скорость, грубость, ярость. Прям патроны в обойме автоматической винтовки, выделить по большому счету ни одну нельзя. Разве что Dream Lover - она и длинее любой из песен, и в центральной ее части The Plasmatics устроили нойзовый бедлам (чем позже займутся Sonic Youth). Типичная классическая работа!
