Абалденный альбом (IMG:style_emoticons/default/20.gif) - мой любимый у Falconer - особенно цепляет своей мелодичностью и "мягкими" переходами - лучшая песня в альбоме на мой взгляд это We Sold Our Homesteads (немного эпическая на мой взгляд)

Неоднозначную реакцию у меня вызывает данный коллектив, вроде и не первый альбом слушаю, и как бы не все так плохо в плане музыкального материала, но вот как то через определенное время их альбомы напрочь вылетают из головы, хотя данный альбом вроде очень даже неплох...

После хэллоуинских Киперов - лучший альбом в истории пауэра, к тому же достаочно нетривиально для этого стиля сыгранный

Второй альбом шведов получился легче и светлее грузного и местами темного дебюта. Светлые одухотворённые мелодии, бархатный и лиричный вокал Матиаса Блада, тамбурин, флейта, своеобразный (замешанный на фолковых гармониях) риффинг Стефана - всё это создаёт совершенно неповторимое звучание Falconer. На этот раз Стефана хватило всего на 40 с небольшим минут (в отличие от почти часового дебюта), но при этом концентрация отличных песен тут чрезвычайно плотная. При этом на альбом затесались два настоящих шедевра: We Sold Our Homesteads, которая представляет из себя вариацию шведской народной песни с лирикой, переведённой на английский, и великолепная возвышенная баллада Portals of Light. Соло на заключительной Busted to the Floor сыграл никто иной, как легендарный Andy LaRocque. В итоге, успех дебюта был закреплён ещё одной обалденной работой.

Любимый павирный альбом текущего столетия от любимой (после BG) банды жанра. Удивляет (и удручает), что при восторженных в общем и целом отзывах на все альбомы с Бладом группа так и осталась практически невостребованной, а народная любовь досталась всяким дуболомным забатонам и клоунирующим павирвульвам. Что ж, остаётся утешаться тем, что хотя бы моя фонотека стала минимум на семь отличных или просто хороших дисков богаче. И пожелать разбежавшимся музыкантам удачи в будущих начинаниях.
