4-й альбом Kalmah получился, пожалуй, самым тяжёлым (в целом) из всех их альбомов. Если в предыдущих работах группы звук так и сочился от обилия характерных клавишных, то здесь звучок не настолько сочный, здесь он несколько суховат. Хотя, конечно, swamp-клавишные активны - куда же без них, финны практически не могут без подобной "ионики". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Для подтверждения этой мысли вспомним Nightwish, Warmen и двух полу-конкурентов Kalmah - Children Of Bodom и Norther. Spinefarm-metal, так сказать... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Но повторяю, это пожалуй, наиболее гитарно-ориентированный альбом братьев Кокко и компании. А в табели о рангах всей истории Kalmah новому релизу я бы отвёл почётное 3-е место, расставив альбомы по силе так:
1) Swamplord
2) They Will Return
3) The Black Waltz
4) For The Revolution
5) Swampsong
Главный недостаток данной работы Kalmah (при всей её качественности), на мой взгляд - это практически полное отсутствие хитов. Если первые два альбома ломились-таки от хитовых тем, то здесь на звание "хит" можно номинировать (да и то при наличии желания) разве что Bitter Metallic Side. Да и ощущение у меня появилось такое, что ребята начали повторяться - некое дежавю от их же собственных предыдущих идей и рифов не покидает. Оцениваю альбом не больше, чем на 8/10.
