Hello MA,
I'm searching for Pagan/Folk/Viking Metal bands with female vocalists. Which bands do you recommend me? (I don't speak Russian) I don't mind where the band is from. Thanks in advanced, Simon |

Here are the albums with female vocals i like, most of them have male vocals too (there are very little number of bands with ONLY female singer)
Cruachan - The Middle Kingdom Arkona - Goi, Rode, Goi! Adorned Brood - Noor Heralder - Twilight Kingdom Orkrist - Grond Dalriada - Kikelet (hungarian language is too strange for me, but lots people i know like the album) Valkyria - Vasens Hymner (i've heard it 2 times only, it's good as far as i remember) Lumsk - Troll Angeli Di Pietra - Storm Over Scaldis Not a big fan, but still worth mentioning: Kivimetsan Druidi - Shadowheart Crimfall - As The Path Unfolds... Eloxorien - Elexorien |

Hello: I was wondering if someone could help me identify this group based on a video I remember. I believe it was Russian fronted by a female. In the video she's standing on this tall column of rock surrounded by sea. I guess she was dressed in this period outfit of silk. She had a very beautiful voice, soft and like folk. In the next clip they show her in a viking ship dressed in armour and of course, screaming. What a shock but awesome. I showed it to my wife: she's from Blagoveshchensk and she had a good laugh. Oh well, she's classically trained but I thought it was good. Any ideas? thanks.

This band is Аркона, I guess (IMG:style_emoticons/default/22.gif) I kinda had a feeling after searching You Tube and watching Liki Bessmertnykh Bogov. It was Goi, Rode, Goi! My Tatar wife, classically trained listened and said that the opening vocals on this are very difficult: then she heard her growl (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) Oh well. Thanks for the info Starseeker |
