Х.з., вроде в конце 80-х и начале 90-х было ясно, что хайр-метала, с его темами про разбитую любовь и мотоциклы, действительно до [мат->бан] и пора менять формат. Так что Dokken после реюниона яростно начали пропалывать новый огород альтернативно-гранджевого грязного звука и психологических отходняков. И открывашка немного порадовала неуемной энергией и злостью, хотя последующая Shadows of life резко притушила хорошее впечатление своим занудством. Но вот дальше... по сути тот же, знакомый по 80-м годам хард-рок с неплохим мелодиями, красивыми гитарными переборами и толикой слезливости (апогей в Nothing left to say), немного прикрытый ( и то - не всегда) грязноватым звуком и привкусом южного рока (Lesser of two Evils); с явными кивками в сторону Get a Grip в песне Inside looking out. Мы, конечно, помним, какие работы в дальнейшем выпускали Dokken, но этот альбом - первая, незамеченная многими ласточка, свидетельствующая о поднимающейся ностальгии по прошлому. За что и нравится.
