Akuma no Blues ****************************** Total playing time: 53:35 Extended info After a lot of experimentation on their 4 previous albums, Seikima-II decided to go back to their musical roots. That is, traditional heavy metal. Seikima-II even asked for the contribution of Damian Hamada, their original leader and lead guitarist, who hadn't played with the band since 1984. Other previous members of the band contributed on the album too, like Jail O'hashi and Zod Hoshijima. The result was Mephistopheles no Shouzou, one of the most complete Seikima-II albums to date. Creating this frozen and chilly atmosphere, Mephistopheles no Shouzou is a really captivating album. Incorporating many themes that feel like they've come from the 80's the album seemed completely out of place in 1996. And that was the good thing about it. In fact, the album's flagship song, "Yajuu" was written by Damian Hamada in 1983-1984. It just was never released on an album till that day. Mephistopheles no Shouzou is definitely one of the band's greatest efforts, and it's recommended for any heavy metal fan likes albums like Iron Maiden's Seventh Son, etc. Register
