Genre(s): Technical Progressive Thrash Metal Origin: United States of America (Chicago, Illinois) Formed In: 1985 Status: Active Current line-up: Chris Waldron - Bass See also: Mother God Moviestar Ray Schmidt - Drums See also: Mother God Moviestar John Lovette - Guitars See also: Mother God Moviestar, Stripping the Pistol Steve Sacco - Guitars See also: Mother God Moviestar Kyriakos "Charlie" Tsiolis - Vocals See also: Mother God Moviestar, Stripping the Pistol Former/Past Member(s): Bass: Danny Vega Pat Delagarza Adam Additional notes: John Lazerty and John Lovette are the same person. Lovette''s last name was spelled wrong by someone and many magazines list him as two people. In January of 1997 the group retaining a stable line up and augmenting their sound with the addition of DJ Delta 9 and female vocalist Roxanne, retitled themselves Mother God Moviestar opting to pursue an alternative rock direction. Quite famously as Aftermath the act lost a notable court case with high profile millionaire rapper Dr. Dre over the ownership of the name. The rapper reportedly made a concilitary offer of some $50,000 for rights to use the name but would go ahead and use it regardless. Fortunately for the band this period of turmoil had built bridges with Interscope Records. Not to be confused with Aftermath (USA) from Arizona or with Aftermath (USA) from Belle Mead, New Jersey or with Aftermath (USA) from New Jersey/Connecticut (IMG:http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/8471/aftermathusa1photo.jpg) Discography: Aftermath - Demo #1 [demo] - 1986 Aftermath - Killing The Future [demo] - 1987 Aftermath - Metal Forces: Demolition - Scream Your Brains Out! AFTERMATH, the acclaimed 1980s Chicago thrash band which released "Killing the Future" and "Words that Echo Fear" — two of the seminal demos of the era — has inked a deal with Area Death Productions. The group will celebrate its 25th anniversary by issuing a four-disc box set, "When Will You Die", containing three CDs and a multimedia disc. All four of the band's demos will be featured, along with the "Eyes of Tomorrow" CD, a 24-page booklet with liner notes, bio, interview and photos. The multimedia disc will include hundreds of magazine and fanzine reviews and interviews. This complete retrospective of the band's career, which will include both audio and video live recordings, will be available in November via Area Death's web site and distribution network.
