По уровню материала и подачи идеи этот альбом держится наравне с "The Perfect Element", и вместе с ним входит в список шедевров без всяких вопросов...

Наконец, после стольких лет, я таки расслушал этот альбом. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)
Не давала расслушать его мне недостаточная метальность по сравнению, например, с первым альбомом.
Лучшие песни, они же самые длинные: Beyond the Pale, Rope Ends, A Trace of Blood. Так же крута инструменталка Dryad of the Woods.
Вообще альбом очень крутой, без плохих песен и со множеством интересных проговых ходов.

По мне так металл тут в виде примесей, вкраплений, пигментов. Типа скрима или или тяжелой гитары.
Причем и прог-рок здесь тоже искать надо с фонариком. Во всяком случае - что-то традиционное типа ELP, Genesis (если уж и поминать - то Rush). Касаемо всего альбома - кажется, будто музыканты не более чем следуют канонам, у них скорее этакий прогрессивный взгляд на современную музыку вообще.
И соглашусь - слабых тем на этом альбоме не слышу. Упомяну тройку следующих друг за другом Fandango, A Trace of Blood, This Heart of Mine (I Pledge) - они так славно "вырастают" одна из другой, словно кристаллы соли.

На Remedy Lane группа закрепила высокую планку, установленную предыдущим альбомом. Музыка стала несколько проще, но полна нюансов и необычных решений. Клавишные по-прежнему играют большую роль и зачастую задают тон всей композиции.
Лучшие песни - Fandango, Beyond the Pale и Undertow.
