По-моему, это был первый Напалм, который я слушал. Естественно, зацепило. Правда, потом заслушал F.E.T.O. и понял, что это и есть настоящий Напалм, а покойный Джес и Митч - это совсем другая группа.

это самый доступный, мелодичный и хитовый альбом напалмов, ни грамма сумбура - все четко, внятно, качево. Запоминающиеся риффы, припевы в каждой песне. Кстати первый дэт-альбом который я услышал(отличный был вариант чтобы не отпугнуть незнакомого с дэтом слушателя). А о блэке узнал с клипа филсов - From The Cradle to Enslave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) (тоже лучший способ).

Наряду с Napalm Death - Diatribes (1996) - дно творчества ND. От предыдущего отличается честностью. Ибо Эмбури и Ко. перестали (почти, есть исключения типа Reflect On Conflict, Purist Realist) изображать из себя группу death-grind.

В плане мелодичности Birth In Regress даже поинтереснее Breed To Breathe будет. Эти атмосферно-восточные мотивы... что-то вкусное.

Банда окончательно отошла от старого звучания: гитары звучат еще выше, ударные бездушно размеренны, предсказуемы, как талицы умножения. Гринуэй после позорного демарша вообще взялся за голову и начал забывать про гроулинг. А общее построение - замаскированное переосмысливание работ Meathook Seed.

Забавный клип, в тему названию песни. И сама The Lifeless Alarm - очень интересна. Этакое необычное смешение всевозможных стилей, и именно - с атмосферным звуком. The Lifeless Alarm, как и If Symptoms Persist, по нраву больше всего.

Не понимаю индустриально-дэтовую()? ипостась напалмов вообще никак. Музыка доступная, есть в ней "нерв", но меня не цепляет ну просто никак. В лучшем случае могу слушать фоном, а могу вообще не слушать и это лучшее, что могу сделать с этим релизом.Уж лучше нафталиновая Utopia Banished, чем этот пост-модернизм...
