Альбом безусловной исторической важности, работа своеобразная и тонкая. При том, что перед нами музыка в жанре Death Metal, релиз камерный и аккуратный. Знаете, есть такой примем работы с большой аудиторией, когда говорящий важные вещи человек специально понижает голос, а слушатели замирают. В случае с Eucharist именно тот вариант, когда требуется погружение, определенное состояние. Эта та музыка, которую нельзя слушать фоном.

Этот тот вид музыки, который хорошо слушать, развалившись в кресле у камина и с бокальчиком коньячка. Однако, не имея в моменте в наличии ничего из вышеперечисленного, я в состоянии очень высоко оценить "A Velvet Creation", т.к. это музыка для головы (и headbanging здесь ни причем).

Eucharist устремились здесь не на поиски компромисса, с точки зрения требований времени и традиции шведского Death Metal, перед нами самый настоящий антипод привычному прочтению метала тех лет. Насколько я понимаю эту запись, Eucharist устремились здесь к поиску своей уникальной концепции и ушли в этом направлении настолько далеко, что я затрудняюсь поименно назвать какие-либо еще банды, которые смогли бы сотворить нечто подобное со скрещиванием мелодий и дэта. Те же At Athe Gates, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames со своим фирменным Гётеборгом развивались совсем иным путем. Да, здесь есть интенсивные фрагменты, относящие слушателя к привычным музыкальным материям, но Eucharist держит внимание именно за счет своего уникального подхода в синтезу мелодий, скоростей, темпов.

На выходе имеем уникальный эстетский релиз, на несколько голов опережающий многих "ровесников" и время, в которое он был выпущен.
