Слышал, что это сборник каких-то демо-записей, а не полноценный альбом. Правда, нет?
А вот сам уже нашёл:

The Devil’s Blood announced at the beginning of 2013 that they have ”returned to nothingness.” At the same time, they announced that plans had already been put into motion to release new material. The new seven song album, III: Tabula Rasa or Death and the Seven Pillars, will serve as the band’s final full-length release.

SL comments on the release: ”Prior to our disbanding on the 22nd of January 2013 we had been active with the pre-production of what was to be our third album. 7 songs, the complete outline of the album, had been, in humble form, recorded in my home recording studio and these demos were supposed to be the template for our studio recordings. Obviously we would never make it that far and the initial shock of that fact saddened us greatly. After but a few days we listened to this material again and decided that even though the audio quality might not be what people have come to expect from a The Devil’s Blood release, the song material was and is the best we have ever done. We came to the conclusion that these songs deserve to become a part of The Canon and that we would release them as is.

”I spent a few days gathering all the demo material together, made a very simple mix and gave the material to our friend and mentor Pieter G. Kloos to master in his studio.

Одна из культовых банд, реанимировавших жанр оккультного рока, выпустила свой последний альбом. Однако в полной мере назвать полноценным альбомом это не получится - всего лишь собрание, т.н. compilation демо-записей, по каким-то причинам оставшихся лежать глубоко в basement. Однако это нисколько не умаляет достоинств материала. Довольно массивная по времени продолжительность альбома наполнена отличной музыкой, знакомой по предыдущим записям ДБ. Здесь есть все - своеобразная медитативная и чуть психоделичная атмосфера, многоголосие приятных вокалов, тягучесть, атмосферность и то самое, что делает настоящую музыку музыкой - искренность и гений талантливых музыкантов.

Уже знакомым с группой рекомендации не нужны, тем, кто не в курсе - попробуйте, может/должно понравиться.

нельзя так заканчивать!
песни явно не доведены до ума. сырые болванки, с которыми ещё работать и работать...
если бы состоялась студийная сессия, где все замыслы были бы реализованы на надлежащем Уровне, это был бы Эпохальный Альбом. наверное.
переплюнуть "The Thousandfold Epicentre" мне представляется практически невозможной задачей.
и уж точно не материалом кое-как слепленным дома на коленке...
нельзя. так. заканчивать.
только не им...

Нарыл в соулсике нечто под названием Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Redesign датированное 2010м годом, где исполнителем является Selim Lemouchi. Там акустическое релаксивное музло чтоб залипнуть. Если надо - залью.

Кстате, к каждой песне есть видос, запиленый неким Jйrфme Siegelaer. В описании этих видосов я и нашёл ответ на вопрос что это за акустический замес.

Не соглашусь. Может на форумах и было бы меньше ажиотажу. Но лейбл бы потенциал подметил. И со временем, всё стало бы на свои места.
Да и вообще я не думаю, что на старте они хотели быть именно "незамеченными". Прокручивались, выступали, вдохновили другие группы. Та даже этот огрызок приятно слушать, чёрт его дери.
