Первый альбом ДТ из хрен знает скольких последних, который мне безоговорочно понравился. Выкинув на свалку почти все (кроме нескольких моментов) мелодик-дэзовые клише, они вернулись к лаконичному мелодизму Haven, что есть великолепно - ну не получался у них дэз-метал после The Gallery, хоть убейте! Красивые мелодии (хоть и не ограненные изысканными аранжировками), лишенные шелухи нелепых гитарных запилов, заиграли во всей красе. Даже соседская лайка пристроилась рядом со мной послушать Construct!

прогнал альбом один раз. довольно неплохой альбом получился у шведов, однако никаких вкусняшек, заставлявших бы заново переслушать альбом, для себя не нашел. подожу качества и оставлю для дискографии, может быть когда-нибудь даже и прослушаю еще разок-другой.

Why are you so concerned of deathcore and metalcore? Nobody makes you listen to music you don't like.

There is obviously good music. I have 15,000 metal albums (no core genre, and only full length albums, no singles, EP's, Demo's, etc) and I continue to go back to a lot of great bands. I always check bands debut albums when they are new bands. For instance, thrash metal old bands are running out of steam and slowing down, I'll just turn on Exarsis or some young band who has tons more energy than these older bands who got bored on me years ago. I also download full discographies when trying a band I do not know. I download every full length, DELETE what sucks, and KEEP what is good. I noticed when doing this that most bands tend to CHANGE for the WORSE or they just run out of ideas by album 3-4. Dark Tranquillity started degrading nearly a decade ago. Their middle discography is also hit or miss, it's not really that good. Haven, Projector, etc. The only two that stand out to me are Skydancer 1993, and The Gallery 1995. Proving my theory above, that most bands degrade after album 3-4, DT started sucking around that time too. The only other album I really like by DT that is semi new, is their last, good album. Character from 2005. The rest is just a snooze fest. And yeah, there sure is some good music, that most of you are skipping over and only worshipping these older bands that everyone and their neighbor knows about, but have ran out of steam long ago. Time for the young bands to step in. Or I will just keep listening to Kalmah since DT failed me, Children of Bodom, and much more melodic death bands going Melodic Death Metal/Metalcore, Melodic Death Metal/Deathcore. I don't need any core added into my Metal. Metal is like an Apple, you throw away the core and do not eat it.

Ну, вот и я, наконец-то добрался до этого нового альбома, который уже успел наделать столько шума. Данный релиз я прослушал, дважды прослушал и за себя могу сказать, что альбом, в целом хороший. Лично мне понравилось. Да, группа стала легче играть, но я считаю, что это не плохо. Отдельных каких либо композиций выделить не могу, ну, то есть, хитов для себя я на этом альбоме не открыл. А так, вполне хороший МДМ.

В целом слушабельный альбом - товарищи идут тропой, проложенной ещё на "Damage Done" и слегка свёрнутой на "We Are The Void".
Разговоры про труёвость ("DT уже не торт!!!1111") можно даже и не разворачивать, а просто воспринимать материал какой он есть, а материал действительно неплохой. Фанаты позднего AMORPHIS и последнего альбома THE FACELESS будут в восторге.

Also, these petty TRVE rants are plain hilarious in general, there's a shitload of melodic death of any kind out there. Oldschool, modern, progressive, whatever you want. It's just that for some it's more important to bitch about how bad the scene is now and how good it was in the past days.

Artists change when they grow older, as do ALL humans. It would be even lamer to release the same recycled shit on every album over and over again without any artistic growth or development. Nobody forces you to listen to any kind of music, but I don't see why you have to go on and on and on and on about it. If you don't like it, ignore it. Your Internet antics aren't going to make any musicians change their mind. No to mention your arguments are void, look at Kreator for instance. I'm not a fan of -core myself (minus a few select bands) but I disagree with your way of looking at a whole genre. Just because you dislike it, doesn't mean the music is crap per se. It's just not your cup of tea. Tastes differ. Live and let live...
