Очень не хочется признавать, но соврать тоже нельзя, поэтому скажу: насколько сильно меня впечатлил Revirgin (1996), другой альбом британцев Korpse, настолько же сильно ЭТОТ их альбом меня разочаровал. Конечно, понятно, что Pull the Flood всего лишь пристрелка к последующему альбому-шедевру, но пристрелка, если объективно оценивать, слабая. Есть ли здесь какие-то номера, сколько-нибудь приближающиеся по стилистике к Revirgin? Пожалуй, что нет. Наиболее похожа на будущий стаф композиция '3' (может быть, как раз из-за этого она - самая сильная здесь вещь!?), но довольно отдалённо. А всё остальное - это и не "психоделический дэт", и даже не просто дэт (как здесь нас уверяют), а самый настоящий дэт'н'ролл, честно говоря, довольно приторно звучащий. Лично у меня не только полное разочарование, но и полное неприятие вот этого конкретного стафа. Совсем уж возмутила завершающая From The Heart - последние 5 минут "трупы" беззастенчиво удлиняют искусственным способом время звучания альбома до 45 минут всякой дребеденью - болтовнёй, криками, визгами и т.п. Не ожидал от очень способной группы всех этих дел. 6.5/10
