легендарный альбом великой группы,
после демки и эпишки а также живого альбома курс этой группы начал расти не по дням, а по часам. некоторым все еще невдомек, как включать эту группу, что с ней делать, как заводить компакт диск- шарманку. а ведь все так просто. ...
суровую откровенность ансамбля многие люди поняли так, что они долго работали под землей шведскими шахтерами и оттуда-то и понатаскали самых таких забубуенных песен , которые услышишь только у ворот ада.
сегодня группа отмечает замечательный юбилей - 10-летие со дня выхода этого компакт диска, а потому лучше бы всем присоединиться к нашим поздравлениям и пожелать коллективу новых славных творческих свершений, а главное, чтобы медиаторы быстрее стирались.

Летом, помню, не проникся я первым альбомом группы. Он мне показался обычным, хоть и качественным блэком шведской школы. Сейчас решил переслушать его. Что могу сказать сейчас? Watain у меня прочно ассоциируется и любим с последними 4 альбомами, которые, собственно, и сделали группу с тем самым звуком, визуалистикой настоящей силой безудержных волков – своеобычных и диких. Аналогов же первому альбому, который лишён традиционного диссекшионированно-нифелхеймовско-мэйхем-батарейного звучания, много. Посему он не обладает той магией, которую особенно ощущаешь на всех последующих альбомах коллектива. Собственно, 2 периода группы - Кроличье проклятье и всё остальное, начиная с Казуса. Итоговый вердикт не изменился – РДК – ничего особенного, но для коллекции можно его оставить. Просто настоящий Ватейн не здесь, а далее.

Соглашусь, что в этой ветке обсуждения про непосредственно музыкальную составляющую мало, при этом альбом более чем интересный. В нем содержится запредельная концентрация "того самого" Watain, пущен корень зла. Одна из главных фишек альбома, на мой взгляд, это именно динамика треков и незамысловатая запись, люди играют практически на физическом пределе, вливая всю свою злость в сознание слушателя. Это, пожалуй, самый недооцененный альбом, при это он самый честный. Они здесь не думают, они просто играют "черный метал". Это ураган, это беда, это гибель...

Rabid Death's Curse is a very underrated album. It's raw, grim, cold, chaotic and aggressive. Simple Black Metal, a bit Thrashy, but the sound is quite similar to early Darkthrone, Dødheimsgard and a bit to Antaeus. There are no better or worse tracks here. All of them are on the same level, but The Limb Crucifix, Rabid Death's Curse, On Horns Impaled, Angelrape deserve to be distinguished. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/9.gif)
