Тяжелый для осмысления материал.Интеллектуальный лабиринт , далекий ,непознанный. Постоянный клавишный диссонанс нагнетает и вносит тревогу ,расстроенный вокал ,глухое соло и постоянно чередующимся тактом играет настолько долго , насколько ты успеваешь понять за 10 минут ,что эта музыка точно не для фона ,а для глубокого анализа и самокопания . Я пишу эти строки не для того, чтобы кому-то сделать "неприятно" от сказанного или не для того, чтобы уводить тему в непроглядные дали выяснения труёвости коллектива или его доступности/малопонятности. Я просто делюсь своими мыслями и совершенно не обязательно их комментировать.
Ничего тяжёлого для осмысления тут нет! Лабиринтов не увидел и не услышал. И, поверьте, когда "на носу" 40 лет, то совершенно иначе воспринимаешь музыку. Не так, как в 15 летнем возрасте. Лично я оцениваю музыку по очень простому критерию: Нравится ли она мне и оставляет ли эта музыка во время и после её прослушивания какие-либо эмоции. Меня АБСОЛЮТНО не интересуют "культовость" или "олдовость" коллектива. Я опираюсь полностью на свои ощущения. Конечно же тексты, оформление релиза, идея и пр. играют свою роль. Но она, чаще всего незначительна, хотя и есть исключения.
Так вот, таких коллективов, как представленный здесь, сейчас пруд пруди. Каждый пытается чем-то завлечь слушателя и его деньги.
Никаких позывов к самопознанию я не услышал. И даже немного разочаровался, после прослушивания данного опуса. На протяжении всего прослушивания меня не покидала мысль, что "это я уже где-то слышал". Местами озвученная мысль становилась слишком интенсивной. Что касается "атмосферы", то и её я уже где-то ощущал раньше. Возможно средне-ранний Xasthur...
Отдельно хочется выделить обложку альбома. Если это реальная обложка - то совсем беда. Сделана наспех руко}l{oпым пользователем примитивной программы для редактирования изображений.

Usually when I see band from Australia, I don't look at genre, just getting the album and in 90% cases i'm very satisfied about "blind pick". This isn't the case. It's not even about genre at all, though black metal is my favorite genre for a many years and have heard enough to make my own conclusion about current release. Have to say, couldn't listen it from start to end , just couldn't. When I take for a listen record from let's say 2012+ year and hear something like this band did, I'm confused. Since when lowering overall sound quality, it makes the record super mighty, majestic and {any other "titles here} ? It's not even about - dude, it's black metal, it must sounds like shit! No f*cking way, it should not, that's why there are 90% of black metal records soo destitute. Creating atmosphere in records with overall great sound quality is though enough , no doubt, but then you can call it real quality. And it's not also about taste in music. I'm not talking about riffs and ideology in this release, but this sound... Propably some people will say - dude, it's raw as it should be, no it should not sound like record in some little basement, where you can't even distinguish the notes from the songs, not even talking about sound mastering after all and structure of songs which are to put it mildly - poor as far as I heard (approx. 30min could stand). Person above spoke about "remindings" while listening this release. Hell yes, would be surprise if someone say - wow, this is soo original , masterpiece. Though I can't get it, where is that cult ? User above wrote about some cult? I can hear darkness if that's how you call it, will not argue about that.
