Нет конечно, там комплект получился, не очень удачный альбом + разногласия в группе + менеджмент просел и гранж нарисовался ...

Вот эта учесть постигла многие банды в начале 90-ых, из за популярности гранжа.
Насчёт "не очень удачный альбом", честно, удивлён. Реально чумовейший альбом, от корки до корки.

Tempo Of The Damned один из самых сильных камбэков в истории треш метала ,я так считаю.Следующий с Робом Дьюксом тоже был не плох, но вот потом как то они стали уж очень однообразны ,но "новый " приход Сузы в команду опять вернул их в строй.

Да, команду можно смело назвать отцами трэша в целом.
Они первые начали полноценно играть и давать концерты в этом стиле.
И лишь проблемы с менеджментом и внутри группы не позволили им официально получить этот статус)
Потому первый альбом и появился только в 85.

Провальных альбом нет в д/г.

Лично мне меньше нравятся альбомы от 1992 года и три последних, остальные выше всяческих похвал, классика и шедевры.

Кстати, лайв у них шикарный от 1997 года.

реюнион мощный получился, конечно.
а, вот, с "форсом хэбитов" у меня тоже хитрая история: поначалу он бесил и от прослушивания откровенно хотелось сделать кое-что ужасное, в ближайший тазик... но, спустя долгие годы как-то внезапно прорулил, несмотря на свою затянутость.
так что, сливать я бы его не стал, совсем уж откровенно. с другой стороны, рецензенты-современники его как раз-таки слили, на самое дно.

LAST THRASH ALBUM: the recent one

SELL-OUT: 1992 (according to some), never (according to me)

BASIC: The great thrash band that never became great.

EXPLANATION: My opinion here may be different than that of the majority of Exodus fans. In their opinion, the 1992 album was dabbling in alternative metal - and grunge even - which I simply don't hear in those songs. Gary Holt has admitted that the band succumbed to corporate pressure to tone down, but in reality this album is at least as heavy as all the previous ones. The guitar sound is chunky and fat, and they sound like a thrash band.

So while the band may have tried to sell out, I don't really get that impression listening to it. It was certainly a marked improvement over their lame 1990 album, though I am sure many will disagree with me here.

The real issue I have with Exodus is their gradual decline in quality. The 1987 album is great but not as great as the debut. Their 1989 album is clearly weaker than the 1987 one (although some may disagree). Their 1990 album is weaker than the 1989 one. Instead of sticking to the evil-sounding tritonus style of their 1985 debut, the band mellowed in the song-writing department, started writing much more "happy thrash riffs", which is why I'd lost a lot of interest in this band from album to album.

VERDICT: Guilty of trying to sell out. Because they failed to do so, they're only guilty of the intention to sell-out. But definitely fully guilty of gradually lowering their standards and quality, from the debut album onwards.
