Suspended At Aphelion« is undoubtedly their most ambitious, epic, and progressive album so far featuring a single track divided into 11 parts, performed by the entire »Fear Of Infinity« line-up as well as several esteemed guests, including FATES WARNING alumni drummer Mark Zonder and co-founding guitarist Victor Arduini - uniting two eras of FATES WARNING for the first time ever.
"Suspended at Aphelion" is considered to be one piece of music, though it is separated into 11 tracks. Most of the tracks work fine as standalone songs. However, the last few tracks really belong together, as "Souls in Permafrost" segues into "Searching the Stars" and "Reminiscence of Strangers" segues into "Lifelines Lost." The great thing about "Suspended at Aphelion" is that you WANT to keep listening. The album has plenty of melody and also plenty of fireworks -- none better than on the proggy instrumental "Indifference Turned Paralysis."


The cover art for »Suspended At Aphelion« was once again created by Gustavo Sazes (MORBID ANGEL, ARCH ENEMY etc), and three separate audio masters were optimized for LP, CD, and digital download formats.

Ну ясно написано что местами с сильным влиянием FATES WARNING (да и участие (IMG:style_emoticons/default/crazy.gif) членов не скрывают), то есть заявлен эпик с большим уклоном в прогрессив, поэтому возможно многим покажется "скучновато" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) хотя элементы дума, пауэра и экстремальных (например блэкенед) форм в наличии (IMG:style_emoticons/default/25.gif) просто надо настроится, вслушаться и "поплыть", музыка не для "автомобильного фона" однозначно...
ps Добавил в стиль тег "прог" чтобы некоторые не настраивались на легкий попс

А где ты там слышишь влияние FW? Зондер - он всё-таки ударник, не гитарист. Одно его участие не даёт повода примазывать группу к великим и ужасным Фейтсам.
По сабжу - слышу 1,5-ускоренных обычных WHW. И всё. Любителям ускоренного дума рекомендуется. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif)

ты упустил еще и гитариста, некто Victor Arduini, он не считается? там есть секция из трех трэков где основной гитарист он (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye.gif) и я думаю влияние в проге, а не в копировании группы
и как-то на дум альбом не сильно тянет, там помимо него много всяких стилевых разветвлений

А, точно, был такой чувак в 80-х. Всё равно влияние нулевое. Гитарная работа именно Матеоса важна. Её фиг скопируешь.
А группа сама на себя похожа, только играет чуть быстрее.

К сожалению резко не торт.
Думовая часть и правда стала совсем занудной. Части с 5-й по 8-ю пободрее, но до павера предыдущих двух альбомов тоже не дотягивают.
