Меня раньше немножко смешило название этого альбома - я думал что оно переводится как "Поезд мысли", вот и посмеивался что, мол, всего одна мысль и осталась (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif)
А, оказалось, что train - это ещё и "ход, направление", т.е. Train Of Thought - это "Ход мысли". Теперь всё понятно (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)

Очень напрягают дисторшированный вокал, речитативы и прочая альтернативно-индустриально-рэповая ботва в This Dying Soul, Honor Thy Father. Зато чисто инструментальные куски здесь (особенно фортепиано в середине композиции This Dying Soul) звучат значительно интереснее. В своих лучших моментах (Stream of Consciousness, Endless Sacrifice, In the Name of God) альбом демонстрирует лучшие стоны DT: скорость, мелодичность, верность традициям классического арт/прогрессив-рока.

Есть несколько альбомов DT, которые по какой-то случайности прошли немного мимо меня. Этот, например. Хотя первая его песня является тем самым треком, что я когда-то услышал по Радио Рокс и начал поиски группы по всем магазинам (начало 2000-х, диал-ап, хрен чего скачаешь).
Альбом классный и по звучанию стоит особняком, как мне показалось.
Прогрессив в нем прекрасен, вроде и накручено, а вроде и не наворот ради наворота.
Очень понравились треки Endless Sacrifice и In the Name of God
