Я как бе в курсе, что есть концептуальный альбом. Таких много существует даже в металле (топикстартер зарядил и около-металльные, но я намеренно не хочу влезать на этот тонкий лед, упоминая The Wall и т.д.). Так вот, я отметил некоторые из тех, которые считаю лучшими, то есть теми, где музыка и текст гармонично сочетаются. Поскольку очень многие коллективы начинают увлекаться созданием своих историй и забывать и музыке. Лично я, когда мне хочется интересной истории, вес таки обращаюсь к книге. А так-то да, много всяких историй и концепций есть, включая команды, все творчество которых чему-то концептуально посвящено (Bal-Sagoth, Summoning, Avantasia etc) но это ведь музыка все-таки, а не литература.
Приведу простой пример для иллюстрации своего тезиса:
Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes - отличный, годный альбом
Iced Earth - Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked Part 1) & The Crucible Of Man (Something Wicked Part 2) - здесь уже доминирует смысловая часть, слушать тяжело, хотя читать, пожалуй, интересно.
Пример еще одного годного концептуального альбома от тех же Iced Earth - это величайшая The Dark Saga по комиксам The Spawn. Вот тут Шаффер песни писал, а не роман (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye.gif)

Вот например, ребятушки Macabre с их альбусом Dahmer, посвященным сами знаете кому. Играют чуваки дэтх с элементами (?) блэка и трэша и делают это довольно круто. Или вот Waltari - Yeah! Yeah! Die! Die! (Death Metal Symphony In Deep C)

Да ладно, не все так плохо в концептуальном тяжмете. Я ,кстати, вспомнил что Brave murder day от Кататонии тоже концептуален и сюжетно связан, даже при депрессивно-упоротой лирике это вполне заметно.

Алсо, имею в планах пощупать пару расхваленных сюжетных альбомов Ten, кто что скажет о них?

На вкус и цвет, конечно, но этот альбом — один из слабейших в диско. The Eye и Puppet Master куда сильнее. И The Graveyard. И House of God.

Альбом целиком посвящен приходу к власти Аугусто Пиночета и тому, что творилось в Чили в годы его правления. По музыке агрессивный разноплановый трэшак, с меланхолическими моментами по ходу альбома. Но, как бы, затронутая тема, не располагала к веселью.
