Классическая запись, которую не надоедает слушать! Примечательно, что заглавная песня в своей первой части – скорее панк-рок, и лишь на 4-й минуте, с оглушающего скоростного соло Эдди Кларка песню можно назвать металлической. Остальное содержимое альбома такое же разнообразное и пестрое: допустим, Stay Clean, Capricorn – тяжелый блюз-рок, (I Won't) Pay Your Price, I'll Be Your Sister, Damage Case – имеют в основе ритм-н-блюз, причем присутствие его значительно и легко узнаваемо. Другое дело, что искаженное гитарное звучание вкупе с жужжащими соло, «тяжелая» ритм-секция и пропитый голос Лемми делают звук песен необычным (по тем временам, а сейчас – монументальным и непогрешимым), фирменным, узнаваемым, получившим ярлык heavy metal (хотя Лемми всегда сопротивлялся этому). После Overkil метальными можно смело назвать No Class, Tear Ya Down
Ну а в смысле фаворитов для меня являются заглавный трэк и Tear Ya Down, именно из-за создания атмосферы «мы убьем вас своим тяжелым звуком!», а также Metropolis – из-за душевных гитарных партий.
