Никогда особенно серьезно не относился к Аннигилятору. Послушав давно две их первые работы, которые многие и по сей день считают лучшими, не проникся и поставил на группе жирный крест. Тем более, что в то же самое время творили свои шедевры такие трэш-монстры, как Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth, Sodom..
Недавно послушал "Метал" (2007) и утвердился в своей 15-летней правоте, что клал на них (IMG:style_emoticons/default/12.gif)
Но вот случайно в поле моего слуха попал сабжевый альбом 2005 года. Зацепило! Послушал еще и еще. А ведь хороший такой трэшачок канадцы жарят. Тут вам и стеб (а-ля Антракс), и боевички, и драйв, и с идеями всё в порядке.. Приятная работа, как ни крути.

Я тоже соглашусь во мнении, что работа крепкая одна из самых лучших после 1999 года. Чем то напомнила середину 90-х только без "соплей". Ещё хочу отметить, что нарекания на вокалиста в попсовости не убедительны, вокалерро имеет приятный голос, не сладкоголосый как большинство судят, нормальный тембр, под стать трэшу, но больше всего мне нравится когда поёт надрывом, который переходит в неповторимый скримминг, класс! У меня на 80, он же по размеру вроль такой же)) усё, терь аккуратней с ним буду)) а то итак уронил пару раз - терь зависает каждую неделю..

Хороший альбом. Первые три песни вообще одни из любимых в жанре, а 3 песня гимн трэша. Вокал у парня хороший. Если музыку качественную поставить, то вокал вполне трэшевый. В песнях 2005 ветераны трэша особо не напирают, а находят красивые прогрессив мелодии. 8 песня это нечто, обожаю ее. Есть и модерновые песенки, но и при желании их тоже можно употребить. Песня pride тоже классная, шустренькая такая.
Уоттерс гений трэша, несмотря на все отрицательные комментарии в его адрес. Мастер своего дела, он сделал Анихилатор узнаваемой группой из тысячи трэшевых групп.
Позже в 2007 был средний альбом, а 2010 маленький щедевр с истинными трэшевыми скоростными песнями и прогрессивным почерком. Анихилатор в 2010 стал более трэшевым, чем в 05 и 07. Молодец Уоттерс, прогрессирует.

На волне переслушивания сабжа все таки отмечу, что Clare одна из лучших песен у Уотерса. Очень гармоничное сочетание мрачной полуальтернативной баллады с веселыми рокенрольными проигрышами и рубящими трешевыми риффами. Ну а к этому еще и Drive, также один из лучших боевиков команды, полностью соответствует своему названию.
