Extended info
Seattle metallers NEVERMORE will release their long-awaited new DVD, "The Year Of The Voyager", in Europe on October 20, 2008 via Century Media. The set covers the "This Godless Endeavor" touring cycle, starting with amazing live footage from the U.S. Gigantour 2005, the Metal Mania festival 2006 in Poland, the Wacken Open Air festival in 2006 in Germany and the main DVD show recorded at the Zeche in Bochum, Germany on October 11, 2006. Bonus material includes two songs from Century Media USA 10th Anniversary Party 2001, all promo videos and an interview with singer Warrel DaneRoax Film Studios in Berlin in the spring of 2008.

"The Year Of The Voyager" will be released as a limited-edition 2DVD+2CD, standard 2DVD, standard 2CD and limited 3LP (the latter two containing the audio from the main show in Bochum only).

As the main show of this DVD was filmed in the German town Bochum, a world premiere of the DVD will be held at the Metropolis Cinema in Bochum on September 15, 2008, which will include a personal introduction and exclusive signing session with NEVERMORE vocalist Warrel DaneJeff Loomis. A release party, including screening of the DVD and special giveaways, will take place on October 11, 2008 at the Rockcafe Halford in Berlin. The entrance is free.

Живой концерт, двухчасовое выступление группы 11 октября 2006 года в Бохуме (Германия). 20 треков, вошедших в него, распределены по альбомам так: Nevermore (1995) - 2, In Memory (1996) - 1, The Politics of Ecstasy (1996) - 3, Dreaming Neon Black (1999) - 2, Dead Heart in a Dead World (2000) - 5, Enemies of Reality (2003) - 2, This Godless Endeavor (2005) - 5. То есть, была охвачена вся дискография группы на тот момент, и больше всего - альбомы Dead Heart in a Dead World и This Godless Endeavor. Прекрасный звук, прекрасно играющие вживую музыканты, прекрасная публика - всё замечательно, и сам выпуск концертника, охватывающего весь путь Nevermore, максимально оправдан; любая большая группа рано, или поздно, приходит к тому, чтобы записать концертник. Что больше всего поразило - это мастерство Джеффа Лумиса, который 2 часа жарит вживут столь интенсивно и безупречно, что не снять шляпу перед ним просто невозможно. Как всегда, хорош и голос "соловья" Уоррела Дэйна - вживую он тоже впечатляет. Торкнули, что называется, более всего на этой записи 3 вещи: Next in Line - теперь-то, в живом исполнении, я понял её магическую силу, супер-вещь; Sentient - изумительно красиво; The Heart Collector - являясь сам-по-себе хитом, стал ещё и апофеозом всего вечера, зал поёт эту песню всей толпой! Забавный момент: в начале Dead Heart in a Dead World Уоррел поёт в микрофон без муз.сопровождения и с интонацией, как напившийся в застолье мужик - публика подпевает. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) В целом, сильный и качественный концертник выдающейся группы. 8.5/10
P.S. Снова - никакого пауэра! Кто придумывает несуществующий применительно к группе сиэттлцев стиль, непонятно. Nevermore - это прогрессив-трэш, и только.

ну есть на первом альбоме отголоски павера, как ни крути, и довольно заметные) другое дело, что уже через альбом группа почти полностью от них избавилась, и упоминать павер в обозначении стиля поздних Невермор - уже совершенно лишнее)
