Таки да! Не буду сразу утверждать, что сабж не ровня прошлому шедевру (на первый взгляд всё-таки совсем не ровня), но мочит и полощет как надо. Опасения по поводу возможного (и логичного) возрастания технократизма, что могло повлечь за собой потерю лица и сваливание в антимузыку, не оправдались. Хотя альбом местами накручивает дай боже, но в рамках допустимого и полезного.
Неприятно подсушенный звук не особенно сказывается на материале, да и ударные стали чище благодаря ему, но вот эти торможения посреди пьесы просто выбешивают. Они тупы, бессмысленны и обыграны безо всякой выдумки. Их главные жертвы: глуповатая, но озорная "Retrogore" и просто блестящая "Bit by Bit", а "Coven of Ignorance" просто-таки апофеоз сего позора. Также не нужна "Termination Redux", но она не нужной была ещё на одноимённом минике.
"Whoremaggedon" теневой хит альбома, а "The Mephitic Conundrum" хит самый настоящий, - я таки получил свой краст от группы. "Forged in Decrepitude" просто уничтожает на месте, а "Divine Impediment" я пока не понял, но реверанс в строну Бегемота не сказать, что одобряю.
В общем, группа по-прежнему прекрасна там, где их музыкальный крик не стихает ни на секунду, но круто позорится там, где она решает взять человеческий тон повествования. Ну не можете вы медленно, ребята, не надо мучить ни себя, ни меня! Столькими уже песнями это проверено... Но пока ставлю жирный лойс и слушаю, слушаю, слушаю

Вот никогда как-то не нравилась эта группа, может быть даже и из-за пресловутого deathcore в их музле, хотя он как-бы тут и не прослушивается, но осадочек остался. В общем, как и вся музыка в целом - на любителя, похоже я не оный.

I hear some core-parts here as well as i hear them on two previous albums, but i cannot describe it as "deathcore", it's just some "jumping" elements between typically guitar hooks. If you wanna deathcore from Aborted, you should touch Strychnine (if you can (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) ) to realize difference between deathcore and death metal with pieces of it.

yes jumpimg or even slamming. Too modern for me sometimes. We've reached the limit of what I can tolerate (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)
